Designs and Outfits Made by Misa:Strawberry and Pink Lemonade Fashions

Well this is my first post on this matter and for advertising! I'm Misaki Aoi, and a designer! If you're looking for a one of a kind dress, this is the place to get it. I can whip up anything you need for a fair price.

Fees go by sizes, pattern and what type of style of outfit you're going for. I expect Half payment early for the materials that will be needed, the other half can be paid when the dress is done.

If you want anything made don't hesitate to ask!

Those are some pretty cute designs! What types of materials do you use?

Always! It's so hard to find original, tasteful clothing nowadays that doesn't make me want to punch out the designer. Have you seen some of what idols have to wear nowadays? It's cruel and unusual punishment.

Those are memorable. I hope they liked them. There's no way I would wear that in public, though. I have standards.

Well, yeah, but those in charge of costumes are slaves to marketing. They don't really consider the feelings of the people who actually have to wear this with a smile.

I used to be in the business. There's a limit to how low I will go to keep my career intact. Dressing like a candy shop explosion crosses it. It's a shame they didn't win. Like I said, I wouldn't wear them but they are cute.

My agency was less concerned with our comfort and more concerned with how much our singles sold. Glitter and spotlights come with a price tag attached.

You're welcome. It does fit the song. Just be careful not to go too overboard with it. Too much is painful on the eyes.

Skin sells more. My agency called it "being accessible". I guess nothing says "accessible" like pink lingerie, feather boas, and cat ears. Or fake make-out sessions with your bandmates in commercials.

Besides 'do what you're told or you'll get kicked out'? Not much.

Some people don't like bright colors. It's like staring into the sun. Too much damages your eyes and makes you blind. It doesn't matter what you wear if you're not really confident. It's all superficial. Illusion doesn't become reality just because you wish it would.

Maybe we were supposed to come across as pure? That's a cultural thing, isn't? At least, that's what my mom told me. Oh, my agency didn't allow my band to date. So none us had anyone to be jealous like that. According to my mom, I had it easier than she did when she was a singer.

It's not. Life usually isn't. It's how you handle it that counts.

Into what exactly? More delusions? More false hope? I never said the whole world was superficial. Just that it exists in the world.

It wasn't easy, that's for sure. I think my mom's a masochist. She tells me idols today get off light and still rambles on about her glory days.

I figured that was your name, seeing as it's in your post. I don't give my real name out over the internet but you can call me Asuka.

[OOC: Assume all online communication from Kaori is done under the user name 'Asuka' unless stated otherwise~]

Well, yeah. But hard work's only a part of the equation to success. Knowing your audience and understanding the inner workings of the world you're trying to gain access to is important, too.

Huh. That's actually pretty insightful. I'll try to remember that.

Thanks, Bunny-chan.

The good ones do. If a performer doesn't feel a connection to what they're singing, it shows. Well, my agency put a lot of effort into studying target demographics. It's the same as any other business, really. Idols are products to be sold, just like electronics are.

If you were, it'd be on me, not you, for initiating the conversation.

I like the green one and the white evening gown best.

It's more like the image is the product that's sold to the public. Once that's done, there's no going back to the way things were before. I'm lucky I got out while I can still remember what it's like to love music.

Sweet? I'm not sweet.

I can't let you do that. Sorry. I'll give you a business tip, though! Don't give up and keep putting yourself and your designs out there. The more people see them, the more likely it is that you'll find a break. Keep entering contests! Maybe you could find a boutique willing to let you display some things in town?
